![]() Jerry Boritzki Senior Pastor July 2006 - Present Joined the Navy in 1970 and received orders to Rota, Spain as his first duty station. Married to Linda in 1971, Pastor and Mrs. Boritzki have six adult children. Both Pastor and his wife were saved, on the same Sunday morning, at Bethel Baptist Church of Rota, Spain. Pastor Eddie Woodfield was the pastor, Brian Barnett was the faithful soul winner that brought the Boritzkis and Christ together. Pastor Boritzki felt called to preach almost immediately, was trained at Midwestern Baptist College of Pontiac, graduated and was ordained in May of 1981. Earned his Masters, also from Midwestern, in 1999. After serving with Dr. Tom Malone at Emmanual Baptist Church and Midwestern Baptist College duty called and Pastor Boritzki received Navy orders to Pensacola Florida. Soon after arriving in Pensacola new orders were issued sending the family on to New Orleans, LA to serve both the Navy as well as the Lord in this new location. Prior to retiring from the Navy and for several years afterward Brother Boritzki served as Senior Pastor of Grace Baptist Church, Marrero, LA. The Lord blessed the ministry here as the church saw continual growth and a Christian School was re-established and still thriving today. Feeling the call to missions the Boritzkis left Louisiana for Sigonella, Sicily where they enjoyed an exciting and rewarding ministry among the U.S. Navy stationed in the area. Returing to the US in 2006 when Silvercrest Baptist Church called Pastor Boritzki as their senior pastor. In addition to his duties as our senior pastor, Brother Boritzki currently serves as Senior Recruiter for Midwestern Baptist College, Pontiac, MI and teaches, as needed at both Midwestern Baptist College as well as Birmingham Bible Institute, Grace Baptist Church, Birmingham, MI. |
